Having grown up in north Devon, Nigel joined the firm in 1988 as a chartered trainee and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992, working his way through to become a partner in the firm in 2004. He is responsible for a wide mix of clients from large corporate limited company groups to individual companies, partnerships and sole traders. As is necessary in the current world, he has a strong information technology background and is also a Xero certified advisor with extensive knowledge of Sage too.

Mark joined the firm in 1993 after completing a degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of the West of England, Bristol. He qualified in 1997 and became a partner in January 2007. In his spare time Mark enjoys playing squash and mountain biking on Exmoor.

Katy joined the firm in 2004 after gaining a First-class honours degree in Mathematics at the University of Manchester. She qualified and gained admission into the ICAEW in 2008 receiving a prize for 1st place in the South West in a final stage exam. She has since gone on to become a Partner within the firm in 2020 with a portfolio involving a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships and companies. Katy has rekindled her passion for trampolining, swimming and playing the clarinet which had been packed away for too long since having two daughters who have been keeping her on her toes.

Toby grew up in Bideford, but moved away to undertake his training and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2013. He returned to the area in 2016 and joined the firm in 2019 as a manager, looking after a range of owner managed businesses, including small sole traders to medium size companies.

Rachael has over 20 years accounting experience, preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Outside of work, Rachael enjoys spending time with her family, bike touring around Devon and Cornwall and a spot of downhill skiing when possible.

Rosaleen (Ros) joined Glover Stanbury in 2010 with 23 years accountancy experience. Since working for the practice she has become accredited in Xero, Xero Payroll and QuickBooks Advanced. Ros also trains clients on Xero, Sage accounts, Sage Payroll and Moneysoft Payroll.

Sally joined the firm in October 2012 with a background in Administration and Secretarial work within the NHS and local businesses. Sally is one of the front office team, offering administrative support to the rest of the firm in our Bideford office and being the first port of call when you come into the office will welcome you with a smile, a helpful manner and a tea or coffee.

Sarah has been with the firm for 32 years, having joined, the then, Barrow Bartlett & Stanbury in July 1985 as an Office Junior, progressing to Secretary/Receptionist after a short time. Over the years Sarah has had the pleasure of meeting and greeting hundreds of clients at Barnstaple office with a cheery smile and the offer of tea, coffee and biscuits and in her words has “worked with lots of lovely people that make coming to work worthwhile.”

Becky is one of our longstanding Front Office staff who provides secretarial support to the team both in the Barnstaple and Bideford office. She joined the firm in November 1993 straight out of college after gaining a Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration. Becky will greet you with a smile and is always ready to help. Becky also works in the Marketing Department of Glover Stanbury.

Elaine joined the firm in January 2005 after finishing North Devon College where she gained a level 2 in Administration. Elaine supports the team with administrative duties and is part of the reception team where she is happy to greet you when you visit the Bideford office.

Nicola originally joined the firm in 1979 straight from secretarial college. In 1990 she took a 10-year break to have a family and returned to the team in 2000. Nicola provides secretarial/administration support and enjoys meeting and greeting clients and visitors at the Barnstaple office.
